Our experience
Our foundation in animal care began on a family horse farm, where daily responsibility and respect for animals were second nature. This early experience evolved into the design, launch, and operation of a professional, Department of Agriculture licensed kennel near Watson, Illinois, where we developed hands-on expertise caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
The BarkYard represents a more intimate and intentional chapter of that journey. By welcoming only one to two guest dogs at a time, alongside our own, we are able to provide a truly personalized, home-style experience. This focused approach allows for attentive care, consistent routines, and a level of comfort that larger facilities simply cannot offer—ensuring each dog feels secure, relaxed, and genuinely at home.
